[Info-Ingres] Info-Ingres] Ingres Service Problem when Cloning Database to VMWare Server

Hello,

Your issue is not (yet) how to port a database from a machine to an other
but how to start Ingres in the cloned environment ...

When you clone your VMWare, how was Ingres ? Running or not ? If it was
running, it can be normal to not start recovery due to log file failure. Try
to reformat log file on the cloned vmware ... you will loose the last
pending transaction on this database, and perhap's get an inconsistant db
but you don't care due to your friday checkpoint.

Did the machine name (in the cloned environment) change ? If yes, adapt your
config.dat, protect.dat and see in symbol.tbl

Hope this help
