Yep that seems to be the case, over a minute slower with no good
reason. I suspect that both disk systems are running Raid 5 so I think
we can rule out Ingres specific stuff.
Have you run iostat on the Solaris box to see if the disks are being
swamped? Is there any sign of the Raid5 on Solaris running in a
degraded mode? Any signs of CPU or memory stress.

I never though of Louie as a white wine sort of guy.
Tell him to warm up the barby. I expect to be placated with Red Meat.

Mmm. I remember the 94 elim final against the Bombers when Knighter
kept us in it with 4 goals up to half time. After the break we reeled in the
30+ deficit and creamed 'em, in the last quarter. Happy Days!
Now if only the Tiges could win a friggen game, I'd be a lot happier. We
got the Eagles next week and then the Cats. So things may get worse
before they get better.
Will Feva get off?
Marty
PS. Sorry about going off topic, but I'm being forced to talk footy with
Sydney-siders up here. They couldn't draw a crowd in Sydney with a
pencil.
