Windows isn't my favorite Ingres server platform, but in theory it
would work as a server pretty much the same as an AIX box would.

I think you'll have to get it from Ingres Corp.  Your customer may
have to get a copy for you.
Ingres 2.6 is roughly 4 years old at this point.  It's the last
major release prior to Ingres r3/Ingres 2006.

I'm not sure how the ODBC versions work, maybe someone else does.

Yes, but it runs against the Data Access Server.  I think that 2.6
had (an early version of) the Data Access Server but I'm not entirely
sure.   The .NET provider is new in Ingres 2006, so what you would have
to do is get Ingres 2006, use its .NET provider on the client side,
and have it talking to the DAS server on the 2.6 server side.
Something like that, anyway.
