I dunno about the machine name mixup, but I think linux is usually
a shadow-password unix.  Did you define II_SHADOW_PWD to the
ingvalidpw binary, and install ingvalidpw (using mkvalidpw or by
hand), and is ingvalidpw a set-user-id root binary?
