[Info-Ingres] ODBC connect failure

Hello,

We're running Ingres 2.0/win32 on a Win2K server. The recent weather
problems here in the Midwest took their toll on us Tuesday night,
dropping the power line to the building. I wasn't notified until after
the UPS battery died, so we had a less than graceful exit.

We're back up now, the ERP system is talking to the db, but none of my
ODBC users can log in. Attempts to use VDBA result in this error
message:

E_LQ0001 Failed to connect to DBMS session.
E_LC0001 GCA protocol service (GCA_REQUEST) failure.
Internal service status E_GC000b -- Remote login failure: invalid
password/userid. If using installation passwords, please make sure
all
servers are 6.4/02 or newer and that they have been started by the
    installation owner..

Crystal Reports returns: Logon failed. Details: S1000:[CA][Ingres ODBC
Driver][Ingres]The connection to the server has been aborted.

I've removed and re-installed Ingres - no joy.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,

Mike Ossing
