[Info-Ingres] Running Ingres in a 'Virtual Server'

Greetings All,

I have been told (yes, the rumour mill is working overtime) that our
organization is looking at implementing virtual servers.

Does anyone have an experiences/recommendations about running a production
Ingres installation on a virtual server.

>From my 'no-knowledge' position I would regard it as virtual suicide in
terms of performance as the RDBMS would then have the vm software overhead,
plus be competing with all other apps for actual resource

Thoughts / experiences anyone?
