Road re-opened ...

C:\Documents and Settings\grant>esqlf
ESQL/FORTRAN usage: esqlf [FLAGS] [files]
 where FLAGS are:
-l[o] Produce a listing file; -lo includes generated code.
  -d Turn on run-time debugging.
-o.EXT Set default ESQL output INCLUDE suffix.
-o Do not generate an output file for INCLUDE files.
-f[FILE] Send ESQL output to FILE, or to standard output if FILE is
omitted
.
-s Read input file from standard input.
  -w Print warning messages.
-wsql= Print warning messages when non-standard SQL syntax found.
              Valid standards are:
                -wsql=entry_sql92 Flag non-Entry ANSI SQL92
syntax.
                -wsql=open Flag non-OPEN SQL syntax.
  -sqlcode Assume application declares SQLCODE.
-nosqlcode Ignore application declaration of SQLCODE.
-{m|multi} Generate an output file for multi threaded operation.
-iN Set size of integers to N bytes (N=1|2|4).
  -? Print this help message.

I believe the compiler we support or certified Ingres with was Compaq
Visual Fortran.

Regards,

grant
