OK, since Roy asked for some noise, I have some. A question actually.
I'm currently working on migrating a 1.8 TB Ingres 2.6 database from an old GS80
running Tru64 to Ingres 2.6 running Linux on the latest Itanium architecture.
I came across an 'oddity' with tables containing long datatypes (iietabs tables).
It takes a ridiculous amount of time to unload the data yet reloading it is as fast
as a regular table.
Is this the nature of these types of tables ?
I have the iietab tables configured at 64K pages due to the page limit.

Sorry about that. But it is kinda quiet around here.
Check out the November 13 entry on http://blogs.ingres.com/emmamcgrattan.
