Interesting, you say 'worry somewhat about my hardware'. Last Friday
we had to downgrade the CPU's in this system from dual 75Mhz to 60Mhz,
due to faulty 75Mhz CPU's. But I do suspect the replaced 60Mhz CPU's.
Could a faulty CPU contribute to this?

This kit is so old we are basically running it on unknown hardware
replacements, and I think the 60Mhz CPU we have installed may be
faulty too. Although I'm not seeing any failures at the UNIX level
when Ingres reports the problems. However, the system did crash and
dump last night - and after analysing the dump (via crash) it stated
there was a fault with a CPU.
