Hi James,

It sure looks like a harware problem.

Do you have any OS messages being logged in /var/adm/messages or
/var/adm/log/messages ?

I would suggest you also try to do an ascii unload of your database. You
may need to move it somewhere else real soon.

below. As a matter of interest, what was the outcome of your problem?

When optimizedb a particular table, I received the following message:

Optimizing details table. This will take a few minutes.....

This looks to me like I do have a hardware issue. Do you concur?
