I know IngresII is not and never was open source but my client paid full 
for it in 1999. I was referring to the Icebreaker product which is open
source unless you want patches. CA offered support from Updates Only to 
Premium 24x7 but the new Ingres only offers a prohibitive 
one-size-fits-all which is the ONLY reason we are staying with an eight 
year old product which has been absolutely rock solid. It would appear 
that Ingres has written the SMB market off.
