Hi Everyone,
Whe refreshing RFPs in a multi-server environment , we have had to
connect to each server in the installation using II_DBMS_SERVER and load
the rules.
Fine, that's a little weird, a consequence of the architecture and over
the years I got used to it ...
But the other day I got bitten...I had a single server environment (or
so I thought) and so it didn't occur to me that I'd be in trouble....
Of course in retrospect I see that the DAS is a separate server in
addition to my single DBMS server and so it wants the rules loaded in as
well! And boy was that a fun day at the office!
But I can't connect with SQL to load rules in the DAS....So I had to
shut it down and start a new one. There has just got to be a better way.
Now IIRC the server is supposed to work out that the rules and
procedures its using are old and need to be refreshed. Is this the case
or am I confusing this with table structure details?
If it does work out the rule is old, what triggers the refresh of the
rule details in the server? Can I do the same with a trace point?
How do I apply this to the DAS?

Ajax: ...But I like toast...it's the muffins that must be stopped.
Duckman: Okay son, now you are starting to scare the viewers.
