Hi Everyone,

Am I totally stoked or what!

For the last two weeks I have been trying to embed one of my functions
into the ingres binary by tinkering with the Opensource, OME is for
pussies.

And given that there was sufficient lightening around the old Castle
last night...I am proud to announce the re-animation of Ingres 2006
Release 2 Linux Version II 9.1.0 (a64.lnx/MVB)

Just like ordinary release 2 but with a random number generator based on
a linear shift register algorithm.

select rand_seq_gen(int8(1)) --> 4611686018427387904

select rand_seq_gen(int4(1)) -->                      1073741824

select rand_seq_gen(int2(1)) -->                                  16384

select rand_seq_gen(int1(1)) -->
64

Queue manic laughter....

Huge thanks to Andy Grimm and Karl Schendel for helping with the build
and Roy Hann who gave me the algorithm.
